How to recycle hardened clay.

Step 1
Collect all the same color Hobby Clay or Jumping Clay or Magic Craft Clay or Aladin Clay or Pinocchio Clay. Remember only brands under our company are able to work together.

Step 2
Put the hardened clay in an air tight-container. Split the hardened clay by colours to different individual containers to avoid unnecessary colour mixing. Remember that your hands and containers must be clean when softening the hardened clay.

Step 3
Put a few drops of water on the hardened clay. The amount of drops also depends on how much of clay you have & how soft you want it to be. The main thing is you have to do it gradually and through a few times you will understand the process and how to handle the hardened clay better.

Step 4
Try to knead the harden clay so that the water is absorbed and then keep it cover airtight to let the hardened clay absorb the water. Keep it air tight and check every day. If it is still hard then repeat Step 3.

Step 5
Once you see the clay has softened then knead it harder and if required put a few drops of water again. If it is still watery then just use minimum drops of water will do or just let it absorbed more of the water before taking it out. If it is still hard continue like Step 3. We cannot have it too wet and soft so do it gradually and be patient.

Step 6
Once it is soften and not wet, then mix it with a pack of new clay of the brands mentioned to balance the composition and you can use it just like before. The ratio would be best at 2:1 with the new clay at two portions and the re-soften clay at one portion. Stretch and roll the clay to condition just like if you are using brand new clay.

Step 7
Be careful when putting water as it might be too soft and watery at the end. So if such occurs then add in some new fresh clay to balance and have more clay to use or let the clay dry up a little. It should be of the same colour or whatever colour you intend to mix. Remember for the water to be absorbed by the clay it must be in air tight condition and it would help if some kneading is done each time when checking the clay while waiting for it to soften.

Step 9
Take the clay and use once it is soften but the texture might differ if the softening process is not properly done. Practice makes perfect. You should add some new clay of any of the above brands under LMW INTERTRADE SDN BHD to this re-soften clay and stretch it again to balance back.
